Suicide is the 12th leading cause of death in the U.S. and the 3rd leading cause of death for 15 to 24 year old Americans. In a study done by PubMed, 42% of individuals leave behind a suicide note. Suicide notes are one of the most important sources to understand suicide, which can be beneficial in suicide prevention. Majority of suicide notes are left to someone the individual loves, such as their mother. This campaign titled "Dear Mom" will be released around Mother's Day to bring awareness to suicide prevention and lead them to SAVE's website where they can learn more.
